Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo have officially announced the creation of an alliance whose goal will be to develop a cross-platform data transfer protocol. This will greatly simplify file sharing between devices from three manufacturers.
How does it work
The platform will be a peer-to-peer protocol, for its functioning it will not be necessary to install third-party applications or use Internet traffic. Representatives of the alliance assure that thanks to the development, users will be able to exchange files of any format with a speed of up to 20 Mbps. Beta testing of the protocol will begin at the end of August 2019, smartphone manufacturers are also invited to participate in the development. Realme, a Chinese company, has already responded to the call to join the alliance.
