Dell XPS 13 is almost frameless notebook with 10th generation Intel Core processors and Project Athena certification

Dell has introduced before the exhibition CES-2020 , which will be held from 7 to 10 January in Las Vegas , several new products, including the new XPS 13 laptop.

What’s interestnig

The laptop received the world’s first almost frameless (according to the manufacturer) InfinityEdge display. Frames actually exist, but they are very thin. The keyboard also takes up almost all the space from edge to edge.

The diagonal of the screen is 13.4 inches. In addition, the display has become brighter and corresponds to the 16:10 format.

Machined aluminum, carbon fiber, woven fiberglass and tempered glass Corning Gorilla Glass provide durability and lightweight construction.

The Dell XPS 13 is powered by 10th generation Intel Core processors . There are two versions to choose from: with Windows 10 and the version for developers with Ubuntu 18.04LTS. Battery life – up to 19 hours.

The Dell XPS 13 was also the first Project Athena certified laptop . This is a special Intel label, which means that the laptop showed decent results according to six criteria: power-on speed, performance and responsiveness, intelligence, battery life, connectivity and form factor .

When and how much

The regular version costs from $ 1000, the version for developers – from $ 1200. The first will go on sale on January 7 in the USA, Canada, Sweden, Great Britain, Germany and France and in February in other countries. Sales of the second will start in February in the USA, Canada and some European countries. The availability dates in Ukraine will be known later.
