Apple iPhone 11: cheaper iPhone XR successor with dual camera, night mode, Face ID and A13 Bionic chip

Today at a traditional fall presentation, Apple showed off a new generation of smartphones. And the first debutant was the successor to last year’s iPhone XR , the best-selling iPhone in the past 12 months. Meet – iPhone 11.

What changed

Like last year’s model, the iPhone 11 received a 6, 1-inch LCD Liquid Retina display with the same “ bang ” for the front camera with Face ID. The case is made of glass, the frames on the sides of aluminum.

Speaking of cameras. Perhaps they became the main change for the year. The front camera is 12-megapixel with support for recording 4K-video and Slo-Mo mode . The main camera is dual: a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor (f / 1.8) and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f / 2.4 aperture (120 degrees). They are located in a square block on the rear panel.

The camera finally got a night mode (it turns on automatically) to compete with Google Pixel smartphones and the flagship Samsung Note 10 and S10, as well as portrait mode not only for people, but also for animals.

There is also support for recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second and a new QickTake function: if you hold down the shutter button during photography , the iPhone 11 will automatically start recording video.

Inside, a new A13 Bionic processor is installed, which has already been called “ the fastest ” (according to Apple representatives, of course). The iPhone 11 received speakers with Dolby Atmos support, protection against water and dust according to the IP68 standard (up to 30 minutes under water at a depth of no more than 2 meters) and wireless charging. At the presentation, it was noted that the new iPhone will be able to work for an hour longer on a single charge than last year’s iPhone XR.

The cost of the iPhone 11 starts at $ 699. At the time, the iPhone XR cost from $ 750.

There are six colors to choose from: white, black, red, yellow, mint and lilac.
